On April 20, the "China's First 5G Unmanned Bus Line Operation Report" was released. The report shows that by 2022, the total length of unmanned public roads on public roads across the country will reach 300 kilometers, ranking first in the world. The lines have landed in the seven cities of Suzhou, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, Haikou, and Tianjin, which means that the era of unmanned public transport is coming.
Why does China promote the landing of driverless buses? From the perspective of the transportation environment of commercial vehicles, driverless vehicles have significant advantages in scenes such as scenic spots, mining areas, and port operations. For example, fixed routes with low and medium speeds, priority for multi-person travel rights, 5G-based vehicle-road coordination can be deployed, and commercial closed loops can be realized...
As a pioneer in the deployment of unmanned driving, Ankai Bus continues to innovate in the development process of intelligent networked vehicles, and actively promotes the application of unmanned driving and 5G technology.
On the road of technological development, Ankai Bus has been working hard in the field of driverless for a long time. As early as 2017, Ankai self-driving bus has been put into trial operation in Shenzhen, becoming China's first new energy intelligent driving bus to be trial run on public roads. Today, Ankai driverless buses continue to upgrade and evolve, constantly improving software and hardware, and improving the intelligence, convenience and safety of the entire vehicle.
In September 2020, Anhui Province opened the first 5G open road demonstration line for autonomous vehicles, and Ankai unmanned buses have been put into normal operation on this line.
In October 2020, Ankai unmanned bus was put into trial operation at the University of Macau, marking the official opening of Macau's first autonomous bus.
In April 2021, Ankai self-driving bus will show its demeanor at the 2021 China Science and Technology Fair. At present, Ankai self-driving buses have been put into operation in Shenzhen, Wuhan, Zhangjiajie, Tianjin, Hefei, Macau and other cities, and exported to Japan to show off the muscles of "Smart Made in China".
As the technical responsibility of Ankai Bus, the lidar, millimeter wave radar, camera, GPS antenna and other equipment busried by the driverless bus can be used for reaction in real time under different road conditions and emergencies through artificial intelligence, automatic control, and visual computing.
The rapid development of driverless buses is obvious to all. Perhaps one day, this high-tech travel mode will become normal, and will be equated with urban buses and subways.
