Recently, the first batch of 20 Ankai new energy air-conditioned buses was successfully delivered and officially operated on Route 43 of Yantai public transport. It is understood that the new energy bus service for Yantai Public Transport Group is another major livelihood launched by the Yantai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. The project is of great significance for improving and enhancing the image of urban public transport, promoting energy conservation and emission reduction in the transportation sector, and ensuring green and convenient travel for citizens.

"Compared with the previous bus, the most intuitive feeling of the new bus is that the compartment has more space, seats are covered with soft cushions, the engine noise is gone, and it is equipped with air conditioner，which makes traveling warmer in this winter." Mr. Zhang, a citizen who took the Route 43 bus at the Jinxiu New City site, said.

According to Li Yong, the leader of the Route 43 fleet, these new buses adopt a large aisle and one-stage stepping design, making it easier for passengers to get on and off the bus; the body length is 12 meters, which is 1.5 meters longer than the original bus, and the carrying capacity is larger; heating and air conditioner are added，which makes Citizens’ travelling warm in winter and cool in summer; the model has also changed from the original gas-electric hybrid to pure electric, realizing zero pollution. The launch of these new buses has enabled the Route 43 city transport to be upgraded in either hardware facilities or comfort .

It is reported that at the beginning of this year, the municipal party committee and government started with the livelihood issues that the people of the city are most concerned about, the most direct and the most realistic, and introduced 96 key livelihood issues. It was planned that 100 new energy air-conditioned buses would be launched. In order to implement the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government’s public transportation policy to benefit the people and enhance citizens’sense of public travel and happiness, the first batch of 20 new energy pure electric air-conditioned buses purchased by Yantai Public Transport Group took the lead in operation on Route 43, and will continue to be updated 80 new buses. The implementation of this key livelihood project will definitely play a positive role in improving the travel conditions of the general public, speeding up the pace of urban construction, and injecting new vitality into enhancing the image of the city and promoting the high-quality development of the city.

Compared with traditional buses, the "upgraded" new energy air-conditioned buses unveiled this time are green and white with wave patterns and are full of movement.

Walking into the compartment, you can see that the seats are all replaced with soft cushion seats, and two rows of 4 orange special passenger seats are set in the middle of the compartment.

A wheelchair parking area is set at the drop-off door, and the drop-off door is equipped with a boarding and getting off guide plate. After the guide plate is lowered, the wheelchair can be directly pushed on the bus.A USB mobile phone charging port is installed in the rear seats of the carriage, which is convenient for passengers, and at the same time guides young people to take the initiative to sit in the rear seats, making room for passengers in the front of the carriage if needed.

According to Route 43 driver Liu Zhongyi, in order to prevent the driver from taking passengers beyond their drop-off stations because of not hearing the ringtone, the vehicle is equipped with a light prompt system. When the passenger presses the doorbell, the instrument panel and the front of the bus will flash lights，and repeated ringing of the doorbell by passengers is avoided. "The driver's seat can do multifunctional massage , which simultaneously improves the driver's comfort." Master Liu Zhongyi said.

The new bus adopts driving area protection and isolation facilities that meet the requirements of national standards,and install driving behavior analysis management system, intelligent tire monitoring system, lane departure and anti-collision warning system to make buses safer.

A drop strap handle is installed in the bus, so passengers can easily stand firmly in the bus during peak hours. It can also report in both Chinese and English, helping the city to optimize the foreign business environment.

The powerful LCD guide screen can display the outside temperature of the bus, broadcast functions of well-known scenic spots around the site, and can also publish network adjustment announcements, play short videos, display driver information on duty and other functions.

At the same time, the vehicle reserves communication ports for various facilities and components, laying the foundation for the next step of intelligent management of the Internet of Vehicles.
